A GARDENING HUB FOR FOODIES AND LIFESTYLE LOVERS TO ENJOY
Bringing together plants, shopping, dining and wellness in an inspiring lifestyle experience, Moss & Moor is a new, independent, family-owned garden centre and restaurant, in a stunning natural setting in Ilkley, Yorkshire.
We believe that a garden centre can and should offer so much more than a great range of plants and shrubbery. That’s why we have brought a home and lifestyle store together with a restaurant and a food hall, all under the one roof of a substantial garden centre, to encourage us all to Live Well, Eat Well and Grow.

We are proud to have been ‘Highly Commended’ for our outstanding score in the annual GCA inspection and for being Awarded for Catering Excellence – ‘The Best Garden Centre Restaurant’

Artists in residence
Natalie Laura Ellen
Natalie creates printed patterns inspired by nature, stories and moments across a range of home textiles, gifts and stationery. Much of her inspiration comes from exploring the flora and fauna of the British countryside. The plants that sit on her balcony garden and the wildlife they attract are also a big influence on her work. Her prints often start with sketched ideas, which she then develops using lots of different disciplines including hand drawn, painting and lino painting, which she then prints onto a range of products.
Leigh Shepherd
Working from her studio in Haworth, West Yorkshire, Leigh creates a range of mixed media pieces, cards, and jewellery. A passion for upcycling and a desire to make affordable, quirky pieces has been her inspiration. Earrings are made from original sixpence coins with sterling silver earring hooks. These are presented in a matching Teeny Tiny Tin.
Pendants on sterling silver chains are made from vintage Scrabble tiles and brooches from draughts and domino pieces. These are presented in a matching Teeny Tiny Tin.
The Cottage Garden Collection features Leigh’s own ink drawings based on her love to garden or go walking to collect leaves, seed.
Sarah Harris
Sarah’s works consists of limited-edition screen prints that start out as pen drawings. A limited colour palette is used throughout to enhance the line work, adding depth and interest through placement and tone. Having graduated in 2005 with a BA (Hons) in fashion design, Sarah worked within retail head offices until rediscovering her love for drawing in 2011 at an evening course at the Leeds College of Art. Since then, her prints have been short listed for various awards in printing excellence as well as winning people’s choice award in 2015.
To start each piece Sarah goes out with her camera and investigates the subject, once back at the studio the image is interpreted into a pen and ink drawing, the same size as the finished print to retain the quality of line, the drawing is then used as a template to create the finished piece and block stencils are produced for each individual colour.
